Who are we?

The Portland Metro Beekeepers Association (PMBA) unites and supports beekeepers across the Portland metro area through education, hands-on training, and community outreach. We are committed to promoting responsible beekeeping, advancing bee research, and strengthening pollinator health. Together, we work to create an inclusive, informed, and thriving beekeeping community.

Portland Metro Beekeepers began meeting in 1979.  It is a wonderfully eclectic group of people who love beekeeping.  We have commercial, sideliner and backyard beekeepers who gather together to teach and learn from one another.  If you are a new beekeeper, this is a great group to join as we have many experienced members who love to share their knowledge. Come and join us.  You do not have to be a member to attend the meetings.  PMBA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
